Flatwork forms punched for dowels

dee Concrete Accessories also offers our standard flatwork forms, but punched for dowels. Our flatwork forms punched for dowels are nearly identical to dee's standard flatwork forms and reversible flatwork forms except for the addition of the dowel hole punching.

Flatwork forms punched for dowels - description

We also manufacture flatwork forms, punched for dowels, so these forms can be used to accept rebar or solid dowels. They are available in 12-gauge, 10-gauge, 3/16", and 1/4" steel.

These forms are used when reinforced interlocking reinforced concrete is specified for the placement. The dowels, or rebar material, travel through the face of the flatwork form. After the forms are removed and adjacent concrete is placed, the two placements are interlocked by the rebar or solid dowels.

Dowel holes maybe punched on 6" to 30" O.C. as specified. Dowel holes are punched slightly larger than the diameter of the solid dowels or rebar to be used allowing the flatwork forms to be easily slipped off the dowels after the concrete placement is complete.

Forms punched for dowels or rebar may require a sliding nose to allow the form to be removed after placement without damaging the reinforcement material.

A less efficient alternative to using flatwork forms punched for dowels involves a concrete contractor placing hollow inserts into the concrete during placement or drilling dowel holes into the concrete after placement so it can receive the dowels or rebar prior to forming the adjacent placement.
