Specification tables for ordering flatwork forms

dee's straight flatwork forming system consists of straight and radius forms used together or separately in conjunction with a wide variety of dee proprietary metal forming accessories.

There are 6 basic industry-standard flatwork configurations for straight and radius concrete placement forming configurations. They include:

Straight flatwork configurations

• Straight sidewalk
• Straight driveway
• Square or rectangular pad

Radius flatwork configurations

• Radius sidewalk
• Radius driveway
• Radius circular pad

The components required to form each of the 6 major flatwork configurations are listed in the tables that follow. These tables list the dee components required to form 100 linear feet of straight flatwork setups or 100 outside perimeter feet of radius flatwork setups for each named configuration.  

Users must verify the flatwork configurations before placing any orders for dee straight or radius flatwork forms and check with their dee distributor before placing orders to insure the proper components are ordered. Each flatwork configuration has its own specific component requirements:

• Concrete placement length or perimeter, (depending on the configuration)
• concrete placement depth,
• concrete placement width, and
• spacing between division plates

Since all of these configurations can be variable depths, we have made the following assumptions to calculate a weight:

• Straight and radius sidewalk configurations are 5" depths
• Square, rectangular, and circular pads are 6" depths
• Straight and radius driveways are 8" depths

Common straight flatwork configurations

100' Straight Sidewalk 5" Height
(assumes a 5" placement depth)

• If the application's length is not an even multiple of 10, dee straight filler forms, #255, will also be required.

100' x 10' Straight Driveway 6" Height
(assumes a 6" placement depth)

• If the application's length is not an even multiple of 10, dee straight filler forms, #255, will also be required.

25' x 25' Rectangular or Square Pad
(assumes an 8" depth)

• If the application's length is not an even multiple of 10, dee straight filler forms, #255, will also be required.

Common radius flatwork configurations

100' Outside Perimeter Radius Sidewalk 5" Height
(assumes a 5" placement depth)

• If the applications outside or inside perimeter length or width is not an even multiple of 10, dee radius filler forms (#525) and filler form locks (#688) will also be required.

100' Outside Perimeter 10' Wide Radius Driveway 6" Height
(assumes a 6" placement depth)

• If the concrete placement depth exceeds 12", twice the number of lock clamps (#625) are required.

• If the applications outside or inside perimeter length or width is not an even multiple of 10, dee radius filler forms (#525) and filler form locks (#688) will also be required.

• If the application's width is greater than 10 feet and is not an even multiple of 10, dee straight filler forms (#255) wil also be required.

100' Circumference Circular Pad
(assumes an 8" placement depth)

• If the concrete placement depth exceeds 12", twice the number of lock clamps (#625) are required.

• If the applications outside or inside perimeter length or width is not an even multiple of 10, dee radius filler forms (#525) and filler form locks (#688) will also be required.
